A Kingston Christmas

Every year December has a way of arriving like a freight train. Before you know it, you are making lists, buying gifts, planning meals, showing up for everyone else, and somewhere in the middle of all of it, you disappear. By the time Christmas morning arrives, you are running on empty, going through the motions of a season you actually love.

A Kingston Christmas is the antidote to that.

It happens the last weekend of November, just before the chaos begins, designed to send you into the holiday season feeling rested, invigorated and genuinely joyful. Not depleted. Not behind. Ready.

YOUR WEEKEND

Friday: Arrival

You arrive Friday afternoon at The Belvedere, a stunning heritage boutique hotel in the heart of Kingston, to your own private room. That evening, an elevated wine and cheese tasting draws everyone together in the beautiful Drawing Room, followed by a horse drawn sleigh ride through Kingston's Christmas lights. It's the kind of evening that reminds you why you love this season in the first place.

Saturday: Rest, then a little magic

Saturday morning begins with yoga, followed by a Bathhouse session and breakfast. Saturday afternoon has a crafty surprise in the works, something hands on and very festive, details to come. Saturday evening the group gathers in pyjamas in the Drawing Room for a festive sharing dinner and a visit from Santa, complete with gifts. Because Santa and I know, you're on the nice list.

Sunday: Yours

Sunday is yours. Yoga is offered again if you want it, but there is zero obligation, this is your weekend, so linger in bed if that sounds better. Then a leisurely breakfast, optional shopping in downtown Kingston, and departure when you're ready.

Two meals along the way, Friday dinner and Saturday lunch, are on your own. I did that on purpose. Some of you will want that time to relax in your room or wander Kingston solo, no agenda, no group. Others will want to stick together. If that's you, there's always a table to be found for whoever wants a glass and a meal as a group. Either way, the choice is yours.

THE INVESTMENT

• Solo private room: $2,300 CAD, taxes in
• Shared Petite Queen (travelling with a friend): $1,700 CAD per person, taxes in
• A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due at booking
• Balance due November 1st: $1,800 for the solo private room, $1,200 per person for shared.
